Shift Engineer – Data Center – Critical Facilities Maintenance – Hayes, Middlesex

My client is a leading facilities management service provider, who are currently working in partnership an world renowned Data Center end user based in Hayes, Middlesex. Due to a recent promotion, they are actively recruiting for a Shift Engineer from either a Mechanical or Electrical engineering background to join the onsite shift team.
Job Specification:
- Work with a shift team of 2 x Shift Technicians
- Ensuring that routine PPMs are carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists
- PPM and reactive maintenance to power/temporary power, lighting/emergency lighting, sprinkler systems, fire alarm tests, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, air-conditioning plant, AHU’s, FCU’s, UPS systems, Generators, HVAC systems, general engineering fault-finding of on-site systems.
- HV and LV switching/site shutdowns
- Organizing subcontract labor
- Organizing quotes and the labor/procurement of materials and parts
- Responsible for Health & Safety, logbooks, risk assessment, permits to work etc.
Salary & Package:
- £56,000.00 per annum + Overtime!! OTE £75,000.00
- Shift Pattern: Continental Days & Nights – 12 Hours
- 20 Days paid time off
- Full Uniform + Full set of Tools
- Training (HVAP/LVAP, ILM, CNet etc.)

The Person:
- City Guilds/NVQ OR BTEC in Electrical OR Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrate strong communication and people skills
- Able to write reports and carry out quotes
- Career driven, looking for the next step in the career ladder
